Cene e pranzi con uno studente internazionale selezionato per la tua famiglia.

✓ practice English or a foreign language.
✓ make cultural exchanges.
✓ make new friends.

Start a dinner party with your international university student: give your family new cultural horizons without moving from home.

It's an exciting new adventure for the whole family.

Being a host family is a valuable opportunity to live aunique, enjoyable, fun and educationalexperience for all family members.

Hosting an international student involves all family members in unison and must therefore be a shared choice. We ask our host families to share their own culture, habits and traditions with the guest students in order to introduce them to Italy.

Involve your children in a unique experience.

With Dinehome all family members, especially the youngest ones, can practise their English, Spanish, French, etc. and meet people from all over the world.

Through this cultural exchange your children will have the opportunity to discover new horizons, while you, the parents, will have the opportunity to discover curiosities from all over the world and get to know new points of view.

Your family will be the mirror of Italy in the eyes of the student: a way to introduce him to our national habits and your family traditions, culinary and otherwise. When he/she returns home and talks about Italy, it is you he/she will think of!

The student you host will be the same each week. The family-student pairing is fixed so that you can get to know each other better week after week.

How it works

Being a host family with Dinehome means having dinner together with an international student once a week. The dinner is held in the host family's home and is kindly offered by the host family.

The student you host will be the same each week: the family-student pairing is fixed so that you can get to know each other better week after week and for the best experience, we recommend that you have at least ten dinners together, i.e. see each other for about two and a half months.

It is not necessary to have a midweek dinner, it can also be a weekend lunch.

Usually students also attend to practise their Italian, so during the dinners you will have to speak some Italian and not just English!

Donatella

"When I heard about this project, I talked about it at home. The older children liked the idea straight away, for them it was like leaving home to go and see and imagine new things."

5

Maria

"It's a very interesting cultural exchange, especially if you have teenagers or young people in your family. It definitely broadens one's cultural horizons and is a positive role model for the younger generation."
